In addition to delivering exceptional service, Cashiers ensure accurate pricing and transactions, playing a key role in protecting the store’s profitability and operational integrity. Growth & Learning at Joseph’s As a Cashier Associate, you’ll develop strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills while learning front-end operations and cash-handling procedures. Routine Tasks: Deliver customer service that meets the Joseph’s Classic Market standard Weigh, scan, and accurately ring up products Accept various forms of payment and provide correct change Handle cash, credit, and other tender types with accuracy Bag products efficiently and safely Keep the register area clean and organized at all times Assist with other tasks as assigned Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years of age Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Basic math and reading skills Strong attention to detail Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude A passion for serving people Physical & Work Environment: A Cashier Associate primarily works at a register station. This role involves standing for prolonged periods, repetitive arm and hand movements, moving and lifting products, and continuous interaction with customers and fellow team members in a fast-paced retail environment.
