Complexity of Work: This role requires critical thinking skills, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to build and foster positive relationships. The incumbent must be able to lead others and take appropriate action when required. Must be able to safely and securely fasten seat belts and shoulder harnesses in aircraft or ambulance, as provided by the aircraft or ambulance manufacturer, without modification to those safety devices. Able to tolerate stressors of flight and medical transport, including, but not limited to: excessive motion, vibration, extreme temperatures, standing or sitting for prolonged periods, frequent walking, bending/stooping and providing patient care in confined spaces. Able to respond to visual, verbal and non-verbal commands and communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must be able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 150 lbs. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious diseases. Required Work Experience: Three (3) years of Neonatal or Pediatric critical care or ED experience required. Must have CCRN Critical Care Registered Nurse Certification or C-NPT Certified Neonatal and Pediatric Transport Certification PFCCS Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support within (2) years of hire date. NRP is Required for Peds and NEO within 6 months of hire. ACLS is required within 6 months of hire.
